About Me

Hello!

I am an English for New Media student at Dakota State University, currently working my way through my final year of classes.

What, you may wonder, is English for New Media?

Well, I'm so glad you asked.

English for New Media (ENM) is a fairly unique degree that embraces the value of the traditional curriculum involved in an English program and enhances it with wide exposure to technologies and media that allow greater application of English as a discipline to the world of modern communications.

In a less verbose form, ENM is a functional English degree that prepares English students with the skills they need to thrive in fields involving digital humanities, publishing, or basically any career that would value a passion for the English language and an ability to write/analyze/edit/publish/speak through a wide variety of media.

Apart from my studies, I am married and the mother of one very energetic toddler. At this point, the traditional list of hobbies and interests is somewhat inapplicable to my life, as my time is thoroughly consumed (don't get me wrong, I am very thankful for my life as it is!) with my studies and my family.

I am glad you are here!
